Privacy Policy

Information on the processing of personal data pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Last updated: June 2026.

Some identifying details of the data controller are being finalised and will be completed with the definitive corporate references.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Liwola (hereinafter also "Liwola" or "we"). For any request regarding data processing you can write to [email protected].

2. Types of data processed

We process the personal data you voluntarily provide, in particular:

  • contact details (name, company, email, phone number);
  • the content of communications and requests sent via the contact form or by email;
  • browsing and technical data, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see the Cookie Policy).

3. Purposes and legal basis

  • Responding to requests (quotes, information): legal basis being pre-contractual measures and legitimate interest;
  • Managing the relationship with clients and partners: performance of the contract;
  • Legal obligations (tax, accounting): legal obligation;
  • Operation and security of the site: legitimate interest and, for non-technical cookies, consent.

4. Processing methods

Data is processed using electronic tools, with appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure its security and confidentiality, and is accessible only to authorised personnel and to service providers acting on behalf of the controller.

5. Disclosure and transfer of data

Data may be disclosed to professionals and providers supporting our activity (advisors, freight forwarders, IT service providers), appointed as data processors where applicable.

Given the nature of our intermediation activity between Italy and China, some data may be transferred to non-EU third countries, including the People's Republic of China. Such transfers take place only when necessary for the performance of the relationship and in compliance with the safeguards set out in Articles 44-49 of the GDPR (for example, standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission).

6. Retention period

Data is kept for the time strictly necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and, thereafter, for the periods required by law (in particular tax and accounting obligations).

7. Your rights

At any time you may exercise the rights set out in Articles 15-22 of the GDPR:

  • access, rectification and erasure of data;
  • restriction of, and objection to, processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdrawal of consent, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

To exercise your rights, write to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).

8. Cookies

The use of cookies and tracking technologies is described in the Cookie Policy.
